Lynch Family BBQ

Another event I was lucky enough to cover was the Lynch Family BBQ in celebration of Kevin(and Kim) graduating. Originally, I was only supposed to attend as a guest, but when their photographer didn't show up, I was happy to fill in. What a fun day!

This is the cake that I made for Kevin and Kim and brought to the BBQ.

His praises were being sung even from the driveway!

His dad posted all of his old school photos. I thought it was great. Kevin found it a bit embarrassing.

Kevin's dad made a photo book with tons of family pictures and pictures of just Kevin from all points in his life. It was a hoot!

Even the family cat, Peggy Sue, was part of the party!

Kevin's mom brought in all of Kevin's favorite foods. Yummy!

Then it was present and Card time! Kevin's parents got him something very special and asked me to capture his reaction.

First they had to distract him and buy some time by having him open some cards from other guests.

Then they gave him a little golden colored box...

Inside was a toy cop car and a note that read something like " Congratulations, here is another car from Katy". Katy is his older sister who happens to be a cop.

Taped to the bottom was a key.

They got him a brand new car!

He was overwhelmed with appreciating and excitement!

It was a brand new Toyota Prius Hybrid!

He took his parents and sister for a quick ride.

Then everyone came inside for cake and to hear the story of Kevin's new car.

Technically, the car was in Katy's name until she signs it over to Kevin, so there was a joke that she should just keep it.

This is Kevin and Kim, and a few members of Kim's family(mom, uncle, cousin).

This car has serious air conditioning(as you can see by Kim's hair)! It has a rear view camera too.
